Lap Swim (October)

Lap Swim

Thank you for helping us keep everyone healthy as we are back in the pool and swimming. We are continually reviewing the effectiveness of our protocols in place to ensure a safe atmosphere for our swimmers, compliance with health department directives, and industry best practices. In keeping with this, effective immediately, snorkels may no longer be used while swimming at our facility, as the use of snorkels can contribute to the spread of COVID 19 more than normal under-water exhalation and side breathing. The RBAC may provide individualized accommodations upon request in accordance with the ADA. To request an accommodation for a disability-based need, please contact us at Also, please remember that masks need to be worn whenever you are not in the water and need to cover both your mouth and nose. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

  • Lanes are dedicated to lap swimming in 45-minute sessions.
  • Each person may sign up for one activity per day, and reservations must be made in advance. Same-day reservations will be allowed as capacity permits.
  • For the interim, reservations will be taken starting on Wednesdays at 12:00 pm noon for the following Monday through Sunday.
  • Cancellations must be made 24 hours prior to your reservation for a credit.
  • A daily rate of $10 will apply for all lap swimmers. Passes will continue to be on hold and extended until we can reopen in a normal operating capacity.
  • We ask that everyone use the restroom prior to arriving at the RBAC.
  • We ask each patron to arrive 15 minutes prior to their reserved swim session and line up in the appropriate area of the Center.
  • We ask that everyone wear their bathing suits to the Center and wear a cover-up, sweats, or parka over their bathing suits.
  • Each patron must shower at the RBAC before entering the pool.
  • Plastic chairs will be placed at the end of the lap swim lanes for participants to place their items on, or to sit on, in the window of time they are on site.
  • Lap swimmers should bring their own kickboard, buoys, and goggles. Shared pool equipment is prohibited.
  • Lap Swimmers must shower prior to entering the pools. Deck showers have been constructed to expedite this process.
  • Temporarily, there will be no access to the lockers.
  • It is recommended that individuals needing to use a restroom, will use the on-deck Accessible/Family Changing Rooms.
  • Directional signage will be utilized to guide user foot traffic to provide for physical distancing.
  • Each user should bring their own water bottles; the bottle water filling station will be available, but the water fountain will be closed.
  • If you are more than 10 minutes late for your lap swim session, your registration is void and the lane will be given to someone else. If you drop-in to the Center hoping to swim, you will be given any available lanes after the initial 10 minutes. The drop-in fee will be $7.50 for the remaining 35 minute session.
For those who have lap swim passes, when we closed on March 16th, all passes were suspended in time. Simply put, whatever time you had remaining on your pass will still be in effect when we return to normal operations.
Currently, we aren’t able to offer you an “RBAC full experience” that would be afforded to you if you had a pass. The locker room, spas, and gym are closed, we are limiting your time in the facility on a daily basis, chaise lounges aren’t available, etc.
We realize that a “pay as you go” system for pass holders is new for our facility. We accept that this is different, but for now, we believe that this is the fairest and more equitable way to reopen, as safely as possible, with limited capacity and great requirements on contact tracing and pre-registration. Things may change as the weeks’ progress and once we can open in a more full capacity, we will once again activate your pass.
