Lenny Larsen has been diving and coaching at the Rose Bowl Aquatics Center since 2007. Having picked up the sport later in life at age 26, he quickly became a national and international competitor; medaling in his very first world championship competition. Lenny has had the opportunity to represent the Rose Bowl and the United States as both a diver and a coach in more than 20 countries, from Dubai and Qatar to China and Australia and everywhere in between. After a 2013 training accident resulted in a spinal cord injury and paralysis, Lenny continues to coach divers of all ages and skill levels with a particular focus on Masters divers. He is also a FINA-certified official, judging diving events locally, nationally, and internationally.
