Lauren Turner is a California native, born and raised in Glendale. She started swimming at the age of 5 at the local YMCA where she later joined the swim team there. As the years went by she qualified for Junior Olympics multiple times. She went on to swim at Maranatha High School in Pasadena. Where she swam on Varsity all fours years and helped the team win CIF Championships in 2009. From Maranatha she was recruited by Azusa Pacific University where she swam the 400 IM, 100 free, and 50 free for four years; including qualifying for nationals. During these years she began coaching in 2009 for small club team for the LA County. She has been coaching the team for 8 years now. Just recently, this last season she went back to Maranatha High School to coach, where they had a successful season.
