Donations are essential to building and maintaining the non-profit RBAC facility and providing the high level of scholarship support upon which so many children, families and seniors depend. In fact, in the 1980s, individuals and foundations contributed almost $5 million to build the two Olympic pools, locker rooms, children’s pool and hydrotherapy spas. |

In 2004, again through the generosity and leadership of donors, a third pool, the Therapy Pool was built and opened to provide healing warm water exercise for those with special needs. In 2008, donations and grants supported the renovation of the upstairs multi-purpose room with a kitchen. This room makes it possible to offer many land-based exercise classes as well as a meeting room for community organizations. Donors have supported the development of the Scholarship Fund and the Therapy Pool Children’s Scholarship Fund, making it possible for all members of our diverse communities to participate. Last year, the Center provided over $325,000 in scholarship assistance. In sum, the Center strives to provide the most cost-effective and affordable services possible. We depend upon donations for 8%-10% of the operating budget.
Donations are welcome at all times. You may make them online (click on the donate now button) or you may contact the Development Office (626.564.0330x406) to make arrangements. We accept Visa, Master card or cash, checks and other types of donations at the front desk or through the Development Office. Please make checks payable to the Rose Bowl Aquatics Center.
