Therapy and Teaching Pool
The Therapy & Teaching pool is a 91 degree, warm water pool, especially designed, staffed, and equipped for people with disabilities. We our very proud of our accomplishment, which could not have been achieved without the support of YOU and the Pasadena community. We have developed wonderful programs with classes designed for everyone’s needs, which are detailed inside.

Why Warm Water?
Water is used for support, assistance and resistance. Buoyancy reduces the effect of gravity. Joint surfaces are decompressed, usually improving movement and decreasing pain. Resistive properties of water can provide muscular challenge for improving strength and endurance.. Ultimately the goal of warm water exercise is to use the properties of water to allow the participant to exercise safely and maximize the participant’s exercising ability.
Please contact us here at the AAF Rose Bowl Aquatics Center if you have any further questions about our new programs.
Sincerely,
Kathy Schmitt, RTC, CTRS
