A "THANK YOU" FROM COACH JEFF...
Once again we have come together as a TEAM and
hosted a fantastic meet with nearly a 1000 swimmers competing. I want to
thank everyone that volunteered their time this weekend and helped us host
such a successful meet. Without that teamwork, we quite simply would not
be able to offer this type of opportunity for the swimmers, which is what this
is really all about in the end.
While I am afraid I will miss some key people here, I want to give special
thanks to those that went above and beyond, and made the Aquatics Center their
"home" for the entire weekend. First off, thank you to our invaluable
Meet Manager, Frank Campbell. He has once again out done himself and we
very much appreciate his efforts.
Other key members of the TEAM deserve special thanks; Jennifer Eich, Carlos
Gallegos, Bob Altman, Rob Harrison, Joe Varraveto, Sandy Bell, Melissa
Varraveto, Indra Samudro, Ana Maarse, Christina Altmayer, Shirley and Ramiro
Flores, Lynne Sullivan, Fred John, Kathy Spearman, Dave Edens, Mike
Cunningham, Kenn Fujioka and Maki Shewfelt.
I'd also like to take the time to thank our coaches and staff; Kristine
Quance-Julian, Ben Kientz, Jeff Klotz, James Gallagher, Elaine Ferritto and
Maureen Lennon. They do a tremendous job working with our swimmers and are
completely committed to working hard to make this the best environment for our
swimmers to not only swim fast, but to grow as people. The experiences and
lessons learned will last far beyond swimming, and I just want to thank our
staff for doing such a good job.
Last one is a "thank you" to the RBAC and all of the staff that make it
possible for us to be here. The Center has always shown tremendous support,
and I thank the rest of my fellow staff for their hard work to make this such
a success.
