La Canada High School Boys - CIF Champs

Congratulations to Chris Myers, Alex Campbell, Matt Myers, Ben Sullivan and the rest of the La Canada Boys on their CIF victory. That made it 4 wins in 4 years for senior Chris Myers, who led the team with a 2nd place swim in the 50 Free (20.92) and 4th place swim in the 100 Free. Chris and Alex also teamed with two other swimmers from La Canada in the CIF record breaking 400 Free relay.

Congrats again to all of our high school swimmers.  We look forward to taking this momentum into the long course season.

San Marino junior Scott Farley starred with victories, and team records, in both the 200 IM & 500 Free.

Mark Keppel senior Katherine Tse wrapped up her high school career as CIF Champion in the 50 & finished 3rd in the 100 Free

Division 1 Finals - Friday, May 15

Loyola finished second on the boys' side of the meet, led by a number of Rose Bowl swimmers: Senior Peter Raptis finished 8th in the 200 Free; sophomores Ryan Cunningham & Colin Duffy finished 10th & 11th in the 200 IM; Colin also scored big in the 100 Breastroke at 7th along with senior Dannie Angeles at 16th.

Immaculate Heart's Freshman, Rebeca Fernandez, raced in her first CIF Finals & Consolation Finals Thursday night, finishing 10th in the 200 Free & 7th in the 500.  Congratulations Rebeca!

Division 3 Prelims - Thursday, May 14

Katherine Tse (Mark Keppel) will defend her Freestyle sprint titles on Saturday, as the 1st seed in the 50 & 2nd seed in the 100

Division 4 Prelims - Tuesday, May 12

Freshman Rebeca Fernandez (Immaculate Heart) qualified 5th in the 500 Free (a 9 1/2 second drop!) & 10th in the 200 Free

for Thursday's Finals.  She also led her school to qualify for the Consolation Finals of the 200 Free Relay.

Katherine Tse (Mark Keppel) won the 200 IM & 50 Free while setting a League record in the IM

She also led the winning 200 Medley & 400 Free Relays

RIO HONDO LEAGUE - May 8, 2009

Chris Myers (La Canada) won both the 50 & 100 Freestyles, walking away with new League records & Rose Bowl 17-18 Boys

records in both events, as well as his first Senior Nationals cut in the 100!

Emily Adamczyk (San Marino) also set new League records & Rose Bowl 17-18 girls records while winning both the

100 Breastroke & 100 Butterfly
