Private Lessons
Providing consistency, reliability and getting the results is the hallmark
of our private lesson program.
The RBAC believes that children and adults generally learn better in groups
. We recommend and encourage group lessons. However, we do offer 30-minute
private lessons by appointment only, to both children and adults whose needs are
better met by individual instruction.
Private lessons clients will be matched up with an instructor that best meets the
needs of each individual swimmer. Only our most experienced and accomplished
instructors teach private lessons.
Private instructors treat our private lesson participants as personal
clients, although they are working for and representing the RBAC.
Booking and scheduling private lessons is done directly through the swim lessons office. You are to call and schedule all the lessons you would like in advance and pay upfront in order to reserve those days and times.

Private Lesson Program
All private lessons are 30-minutes in length.
The private lessons

Private Lessons Packet PDF
Getting Started:
To schedule private lessons, a private lessons packet must be read, filled out
and returned to the Swim Lessons Department by via email, fax or in person. Once
this packet is submitted by the Swim Lessons department, you may contact a
coordinator to
discuss the days and times available for scheduling. To obtain a private lesson
packet please click on the link above or pick up at the front desk.
All payments must be made through the Swim Lessons Department at the time of
scheduling any private lessons. Private lessons may be purchased one month at a
time or multiple months. The payment is to reserve the time slot for the amount
of lessons purchased. There are no guarantees that the time slot you purchase
will be open for future months that have not been paid for.
Cancellations/ Rescheduling & Make-Ups:
Cancellation of private lessons must be made 24 hours in advance. Make-up
lessons may be scheduled if notification of an absence is made at least 24 hours
in advance. In the case of a last minute cancellation due to illness, a doctor's
note will be needed to obtain credit for the missed class. In the event the
lessons were cancelled on behalf of the Rose Bowl Aquatics Center due to events
or circumstances that were beyond our control (i.e., contamination, lighting
etc.) you will be entitled to a make-up lesson/s. Once you have scheduled private
lessons and paid for them, no refunds will be issued. To cancel a
private lesson please call the swim lessons department at (626) 564-0330 ext.
411.
Your instructor will be waiting for you at the Customer Service table on
the pool deck. Please exchange contact information with your instructor on the
first day in order to communicate any questions, comments, or concerns. Please
feel free to discuss details about your child's lessons with your instructor at
the end of the lesson. You may discuss how much longer private lessons may be
necessary and when moving back into group lessons may be beneficial.

Standard Private Lessons
$35.00
(per 30 minute lesson)
The RBAC offers 30 minute private swim lessons, by appointment only to both children and adults whose needs are better met by individual instruction. All of our private lesson instructors are experienced teachers with WSI certification.
Semi-Private Lessons
$20.00
(per swimmer within a 30 minute lesson)
Semi-private swim lessons are available to swimmers who are of similar age and swimming ability. There is a maximum of three
swimmers per Semi-Private Lesson.
